The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) & STAR Producer Rewards Program is officially open for Crop Year 2026! Funded by Illinois soybean checkoff dollars, the program rewards producers for implementing conservation practices and improving soil health through the STAR Tool. Eligible Illinois producers can receive payments for maintaining a 5-STAR Rating or improving their field’s STAR Rating, with payments available on up to 200 acres per year. Improvements are measured against the previous STAR Rating, including Crop Year 2025. Fields are paid once per improvement level, based on the rating achieved and producers who complete their first-ever STAR assessment receive a one-time $3/acre payment. This bonus may be added to other eligible payments. Producers are encouraged to apply early, as funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
